Man City and Aston Villa to face holders PSG in Champions League

- Paris Saint-Germain were drawn against Manchester City, Aston Villa and five-time winners Barcelona in the league phase, with City hosting PSG at the Etihad and Villa receiving PSG at Villa Park
- Arsenal will host 15-time champions Real Madrid at Emirates Stadium and travel to Bayern Munich; the club were beaten by PSG on penalties in last season's Champions League final
- Manchester City will travel to Barcelona for a reunion with former midfielder Rodri, who joined the Nou Camp side in a £65m summer deal, and host Napoli where Kevin de Bruyne — another former City midfielder — now plays
- Aston Villa, returning to the competition after a season away, will host Borussia Dortmund and travel to Barcelona and Galatasaray, completing a list that also includes Club Brugge, Fenerbahce, Viking and Slavia Prague
- Manchester United return after a two-year hiatus with fixtures against Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Roma, Sporting, RB Leipzig, Villarreal, Sabah and Como
- The first league-phase matches are scheduled for Tuesday 8 September, with the final round on 27 January 2027 and the final to be held in Madrid on 5 June
Why it matters: Arsenal, who lost last season's final to PSG on penalties, now host Real Madrid and visit Bayern Munich in the eight-match league phase. Holders PSG face two of the three Premier League clubs they beat en route to back-to-back titles — City in the semi-finals.
