- "Algorithmic Organisms 2.0" opened at The Grey Box, GMBB Kuala Lumpur, organized by Jazzy Group of Companies and presented by MAISEAT, ahead of a public run through July 19.
- Dutch artist Ray Tijssen (also known as 0010×0010), based in Los Angeles and creative director of SQNXR, led guests on a walkthrough unpacking how AI, generative visuals and immersive sound keep the show's environment in constant flux.
- Joanne Goh, founder and CEO of Jazzy Group, framed the show as inviting audiences to be "participants within the work itself" rather than passive observers.
- The exhibition is a sidebar to the Malaysia International Film Festival's 2026 edition (July 18–25 in Kuala Lumpur) and is backed by the National Art Gallery of Malaysia (Balai Seni Negara) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kuala Lumpur.
- Tijssen will extend the show's themes with "Machine Vision & Human Expression: An Interactive Masterclass with 0010×0010," set for July 4 at the National Art Gallery of Malaysia.
- The opening drew figures from arts, media, strategic partners, cultural institutions and the diplomatic community, closing with a cocktail reception featuring live DJ sets and synchronized audiovisual projections.
Why it matters: Backed by the Dutch Embassy and Malaysia's National Art Gallery and tied to MIFFest 2026 (July 18–25), the show reflects Jazzy Group's stated push to bring internationally minded AI-art programming to Kuala Lumpur and position it as a Southeast Asian hub for immersive creative work.
