- England were frustrated by France as they chased a big win in a Rugby League World Cup pool match in Perth on 24 October 2026, a fixture the live coverage calls must-win.
- Rugby League World Cup’s live page tracks the latest scores, updates and analysis from Saturday’s action, with England against France first and England Women against hosts Australia next.
- England Women take on hosts Australia in the second match listed in the live coverage, with Australia identified as the defending champions.
- Sky Sports says Jacks sees positives in England’s tri-series troubles, adding an upbeat assessment to coverage otherwise framed around a must-win match.
Why it matters: England’s men face a fixture the source explicitly calls must-win on 24 October, making the Perth result a direct test of their pool campaign; the women then meet hosts Australia, the defending champions. Sky Sports’ positive view of England’s tri-series form adds context, but the live hub foregrounds the sharper pressure of the two World Cup games.
