- CBS ordered three unscripted series: a reboot of Undercover Boss, new game show Stacks of Cash, and 24 Hour Millionaire (working title), with premiere dates and additional details to be announced later
- Undercover Boss reboot will be hosted by Drew Carey, who has hosted CBS's The Price Is Right since 2007, marking the show's 12th season after originally premiering in 2010 and last airing in 2022
- Stacks of Cash is hosted by Emmy-nominated actor Mike O' O'Malley, currently in post-production after filming in Portugal—the latest American unscripted series to shoot abroad to cut costs
- 24 Hour Millionaire comes from Big Brother executive producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan via Fly on the Wall Entertainment, and has been in development at CBS for more than a year
- Mitch Graham, CBS's EVP of Alternative Series, framed the orders as part of a commitment to 'a deep year-round unscripted slate' with 'distinctly CBS' formats
- Stacks of Cash is based on a format developed by Australia's Eureka Studios Group Pty and Seven Network Limited, with six contestants answering questions to earn uniquely shaped blocks stacked toward a gold line
Why it matters: CBS is rebuilding its unscripted pipeline with a 12th-season veteran property plus two new formats, one of which was filmed in Portugal to save costs—a production trend reshaping U.S. reality TV economics. Anchoring Undercover Boss on Drew Carey leverages a host already locked into CBS's daytime lineup through The Price Is Right.
