- Charles Porter died Monday at 47 after a long battle with cancer.
- Finding Faith was the 2025 film Porter backed as a producer.
- Wendell Scott: A Race Story featured Porter playing NASCAR phenom Wendell Scott in the title role for ESPN.
- Candice Tab-Porter announced her husband’s death.
Why it matters: The concrete loss spans two named credits: Porter backed the 2025 film Finding Faith, and he played the title NASCAR figure in ESPN’s Wendell Scott: A Race Story. His death at 47, confirmed publicly by his wife Candice Tab-Porter after a long cancer battle, means his family and collaborators are left with those works as part of his public record.
