- Scott White delivers 10 sleeper pitcher recommendations for fantasy baseball Week 27 (Sept. 21-27), all rostered in no more than 80% of CBS Sports leagues.
- Jared Jones and Walbert Urena are highlighted as featured sleeper targets in the Week 27 pitcher preview.
- Only the top two or three picks are full-throated endorsements, with the remaining recommendations framed as 'making the best of a bad situation.'
- The article positions streaming pitchers as a survival strategy for fantasy managers who lack enough reliable starters in a given scoring period.
- All recommendations are current as of late Sunday, the cutoff before Week 27 begins.
Why it matters: For fantasy managers short on pitching depth, this Week 27 slate offers 10 widely-available streamer options, but the article's own caveat — most picks are merely 'the best of a bad situation' — signals a thin week where only Jared Jones and a couple of others carry real conviction rather than desperation plays.
