- Solinas Integrity raised $5.5 million in a Series A1 round led by Hero Enterprise Partner Ventures and Mela Ventures, with participation from Luthra Group.
- SBI Ventures doubled down on its existing position alongside continued backing from Rainmatter and 8X Ventures Fund I, after leading Solinas's prior Series A through the SVL-SME Fund (Neev II) in May 2024.
- The Chennai-based, IIT Madras-incubated startup, founded by Divanshu Kumar and Moinak Banerjee, builds robotics and AI systems that inspect, clean, and digitise underground water and wastewater networks, addressing leakage, contamination, and manual scavenging.
- Solinas will use the capital to scale into new Indian states and municipal corporations and to build an international footprint with a strategic focus on the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
- The company is targeting Rs 100 crore in revenue by FY28, driven by its core water and sanitation business alongside industrial asset management.
- CEO Divanshu Kumar said the company plans to extend its robotics platform into adjacent sectors starting with oil & gas and defence, where the same discipline around critical, unseen infrastructure applies.
- Kumbhat Advisors served as financial advisor to the transaction.
Why it matters: Hero Enterprise Chairman Sunil Kant Munjal publicly framed the bet as one addressing water security and worker safety, while existing investor SBI Ventures doubling down signals confidence after the May 2024 round. Solinas's Rs 100 crore FY28 revenue target and stated pivot into oil & gas and defence show the founders intend the underground-water robotics business to be a beachhead for a much larger critical-infrastructure play.
