Why it matters: Skyports now holds the regulatory clearance to operate commercial eVTOL flights from VDX, the anchor of a four-vertiport Dubai air taxi network being co-built with the RTA. With capacity for 170,000 passengers annually, the network moves eVTOL from concept to a scheduled urban transport product in one of the world's most aviation-forward markets, giving the UAE a first-mover benchmark that other regulators and air-taxi operators will be measured against.
