- Amazon dropped the 2024 Kindle to $100 for Prime Big Deals Day, framing the entry-level e-reader against the flashier tablets also featured in the sale.
- The 2024 Amazon Kindle is available in black and the popular Matcha green color option.
- Amazon's pitch targets readers whose summer goals include clearing their nightstand book stacks, casting the device as a practical buy over do-it-all alternatives.
Why it matters: At $100, the 2024 Kindle lands as one of the cheapest dedicated reading devices in a Prime Day slate dominated by higher-priced tablets, giving budget-focused shoppers a single-purpose option to sidestep the glare and app overload of a general tablet.
