- Sue Frost, a veteran Broadway producer, appeared on Variety's 'Strictly Business' podcast as part of the outlet's annual Business of Broadway and New York Issue events
- Frost is credited as the producer behind acclaimed Broadway productions 'Memphis' and 'Come From Away'
- Frost devoted the conversation to her work bringing original musicals to Broadway, a pursuit she summed up with the line 'Somebody's Got to Do It'
Why it matters: Frost's framing of original musical development as a mission that 'somebody's got to' take on positions it as an underfilled role on Broadway, one she has already validated with the commercial and critical success of 'Memphis' and 'Come From Away.' A high-profile platform during Variety's Business of Broadway issue gives that advocacy direct industry reach.
