- Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-1 on Sunday for their 13th consecutive win, tying their second-longest streak in franchise history (a 13-game run in July 1948) and trailing only the 15-game streak from June 1946.

Why it matters: The Red Sox are now just two wins from their all-time franchise record of 15 straight (June 1946). Sonny Gray's dominance — now 12-1 with nine consecutive quality starts and no more than three runs allowed since April 14 — has anchored the streak, marking the most sustained run the franchise has produced in decades.
