- Christopher Vargas, a 6-4, 185-pound four-star quarterback from Saint John's Prep in Danvers, Massachusetts, announced his Ohio State pledge via social media Saturday, choosing the Buckeyes over Auburn, Boston College, Miami, Oregon, Texas A&M, USC, Virginia Tech and Washington.
- Vargas completed 66.7% of his passes for 2,038 yards and 24 touchdowns against three interceptions in his sophomore season and ranks as the No. 14 overall recruit and top pocket passer in the 2028 class per ESPN.
