- BYD will roll out ParkPay, an in-car parking and payment service built with Parkopedia on Android OS with Google built-in, starting in Europe in early 2027.
- ParkPay will notify drivers in covered areas via the infotainment screen, enabling one-click payment; BYD is also adding RingGo in the UK and EasyPark across Europe to widen coverage.
- BYD plans to extend ParkPay beyond parking to include EV charging, toll payments, and parking reservations, with the app pre-installed on the Denza Z9 GT and Atto 3 Evo and pushed to older models via OTA updates.
- Denza Z9 GT specs include 1,140 hp from three motors, a 122.49 kWh battery, 599 km WLTP range, and a starting price of €115,000 for the EV version in Europe.
- BYD's Flash Charging system delivers up to 1,500 kW, recharging from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes and 10% to 97% in 9 minutes, adding just 3 minutes at -30°C.
- Stella Li, BYD's executive vice president, tied the launch to broader EV adoption goals, citing the Denza Z9 GT as the vehicle to debut BYD's 'Ready in 5, Full in 9, Cold Add 3' charging principle in Europe.
Why it matters: BYD is collapsing the friction points — locating a charger, paying for parking, initiating a session — into a single in-car interface on Google-powered infotainment, targeting European drivers from early 2027 and using the €115,000 Denza Z9 GT as a halo product for its 1,500 kW Flash Charging system.
