- Niche Mobility unveiled the ADTS (Automatic Digital Transmission System), a pedal-by-wire prototype that replaces traditional gearing with a fully digital drivetrain
- Pedaling powers a generator inside the motor unit, which feeds electricity to a second motor driving the wheel — meaning pedaling does nothing if the system is off or the battery is dead
