- SportsLine model simulated the NFL season 10,000 times and flagged its top 2026 Fantasy football busts, headlined by Giants WR Malik Nabers, whose ACL tear and follow-up spring surgery cloud his Week 1 status under new OC Matt Nagy's run-heavy scheme.
- Nabers is going off draft boards around pick No. 32, but SportsLine's model doesn't rank him as a top-15 receiver, slotting DeVonta Smith, Nico Collins and Zay Flowers ahead of him.
- James Cook drew a bust tag despite an ADP around No. 12 overall (fifth RB off the board); the model ranks him RB10 behind Derrick Henry and Chase Brown, citing a higher 2025 fumble rate, limited passing-game role and Josh Allen as a touchdown vulture.
- Terry McLaurin's 2025 numbers validated last year's model call — career lows of 582 receiving yards and 3 TDs after a 1,100-yard, 13-TD 2024, with per-game averages down even before injuries factored in.

Why it matters: Fantasy drafters trusting consensus ADP at the top of boards face real downside: the same model that called McLaurin's collapse is telling owners to pass on a Round 2/3 WR (Nabers) coming off an ACL tear and a Round 1/2 RB (Cook) whose scoring depends on a QB who steals his touchdowns. Steer clear of these names or pay retail on a potential bottom-of-roster player.
