- Fox released a three-minute trailer for its "Baywatch" reboot, opening with star Stephen Amell leading a rescue mission after a plane collides with a parasail.
- Stephen Amell plays a grown-up version of Hobie Buchannon in the reboot, which premieres on Fox in January.
Why it matters: Fox is banking on a globally recognized franchise to anchor its January scripted slate. Casting Amell as an older Hobie Buchannon — a character from the original series — positions the reboot as a legacy continuation rather than a full reinvention.
