- Ron Perlman and Teri Polo are set to headline Aida Gevorgyan's 'Lies We Follow,' which will shoot in Los Angeles for Archstone Entertainment, with Jack Sheehan producing.
- Jamie, a desperate mother whose dying daughter Emma doctors cannot cure, follows Perlman's charismatic Dr. Beau to an isolated retreat promising a "new world" and cure, where the source notes the deeper she goes, the harder it becomes to tell healing from control.
- Polo will play Margaret, Dr. Beau's lieutenant in his cult operation, and is also set to appear in November's 'Focker-in-Law' alongside Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, and Ariana Grande.
- Perlman recently starred on AppleTV's Cape Fear and Prime Video's Fallout, and previously played Hellboy in Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy and Hellboy 2: The Golden Army.
Why it matters: Archstone Entertainment has landed two stars with proven genre and franchise draw — Perlman from del Toro's Hellboy films and Polo from the $1B-plus grossing Meet the Parents series — giving director Gevorgyan's cult-thriller built-in audience recognition before a frame is shot. Polo's November 'Focker-in-Law' window also pins her availability tightly to the LA production schedule.
