- SportsLine listed seven Week 8 best bets: Indiana -7, UCF +6.5, South Carolina -126 on the moneyline, Oklahoma State -13, Ole Miss +3.5, USC-Wisconsin under 50.5 and Utah -6.5.
- DraftKings offered new users $200 in bonus bets—two $25 credits each week for 21 days—plus three months of NBA League Pass after a $5 first wager and a $10 minimum deposit; the pass then auto-renews at $16.99 a month.
- Fanatics offered new users $350 in FanCash after a first $20-or-more wager at odds of -500 or longer within seven days, paid $50 daily for seven days; the FanCash is nonwithdrawable and not redeemable for cash.
- BetMGM offered up to $1,500 in bonus bets if a new user’s first qualifying wager lost, or $150 if it won, under code CBSSPORTS, subject to a $10 deposit and location in a legal betting state.
- Auburn upset Georgia on the road last week, one of five defeats suffered by the top seven teams that the guide cites as a warning to Week 8 favorites about underdogs.
- Indiana was picked at -7 against Michigan, with Thomas Casale citing Indiana’s defense at 75 rushing yards per game and 2.28 yards per carry before saying the Hoosiers should win by double digits.
- Ole Miss was picked at +3.5 against Texas, with Emory Hunt calling Trinidad Chambliss the game’s best quarterback, describing the Texas offense as “stuck in neutral” and noting that defensive end Collin Simmons would be unavailable.
Why it matters: New bettors’ incentives differ: BetMGM offers up to $1,500 after a losing first wager, Fanatics requires a $20 bet at -500 or longer for $350 in nonwithdrawable FanCash, and DraftKings requires a $5 wager plus a $10 deposit. The $2,000-plus headline value is not interchangeable because each deal has distinct wager, odds and bonus conditions.
