- Trump's July disclosure listed 1,156 securities transactions totaling between $79 million and $270 million, with purchases of at least $43.6 million and sales of at least $35.6 million.
- The largest trades were July 20 sales of up to $25 million each in Microsoft and Amazon shares; Trump then bought back $100,001–$250,000 of Microsoft three days later.
- On the same July 20 date, Trump sold $1 million–$5 million of Oracle and $250,001–$500,000 of Northrop Grumman — the Northrop sale landing the day he signed an executive order tightening defense supply chain requirements and restricting Chinese-source waivers.
- Trump traded SpaceX and Tesla repeatedly through July, holding a financial stake in SpaceX, a major Pentagon and NASA contractor whose xAI subsidiary holds a $200 million Pentagon contract.
- Trump also purchased $250,000–$500,000 of Axon Enterprises, the taser maker that works frequently with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and $500,001–$1 million of Nvidia.
- The White House defended the trades, with Davis Ingle saying the portfolio is independently managed by third-party institutions with no input from Trump or his family.
- Trump's 2025 annual disclosure showed more than 21,000 securities trades across accounts holding at least $858 million, compared with just 86 stock transactions disclosed in his first year in office in 2017.
Why it matters: The disclosure shows a president with direct financial exposure to companies his administration actively regulates — selling Northrop Grumman the day he signed a defense supply chain order, holding SpaceX and Tesla amid Musk's advisory role, and buying ICE-contractor Axon. The White House insists an independent advisor runs the portfolio with no presidential input.
