- Digital Asset raised $355M in a round led by Andreessen Horowitz's crypto arm (a16z crypto), valuing the company at about $2B.
- 7RIDGE joined the round, which also included the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Citadel Securities and Optiver.
- Canton Network will be scaled with the new capital to enable tokenization and settlement of traditional securities while keeping data private.
- Yuval Rooz said the funding will accelerate strategic partnerships and help major financial institutions move mission‑critical infrastructure onchain faster.
- Goldman Sachs is among the institutions that have piloted the Canton Network, along with BNY Mellon, BNP Paribas, Standard Chartered, Société Générale and Deutsche Börse.
- DRW Venture Capital participated in a $135M round in June 2025.
- BNY Mellon was among investors in a $50M strategic round in December 2024.
Why it matters: The infusion lets Digital Asset expand its Canton Network, giving banks and other financial institutions a permissioned blockchain to tokenize and settle securities while preserving data privacy. Those institutions can move critical infrastructure onchain faster, while competitors without similar tech may fall behind.
