- Lenovo Legion Go S with SteamOS is on sale at Best Buy for $999.99, packing 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage — double both specs of the $789 base Steam Deck OLED.
- The Legion Go S features an 8-inch IPS screen running at 1080p with up to 120Hz refresh rate, compared to the Steam Deck OLED's 800p, 90Hz panel.
- Lenovo Legion Go S runs identical SteamOS software to the Steam Deck OLED but pairs it with a slightly faster Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and two-stage triggers.
- The discounted Z1 Extreme model outperforms a newer Legion Go S variant that launched with Windows 11 and the Ryzen Z2 Go, which the source notes is less powerful despite being a newer chip.
- The Legion Go S trails the $1,299.99 Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20, which ships with a Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip and an OLED screen.
Why it matters: At $999.99, the Legion Go S slots between the $789 Steam Deck OLED and the $1,299.99 ROG Xbox Ally X20, undercutting the pricier flagship while doubling the Deck OLED's RAM and storage. The source's note that the newer Z2 Go SKU is slower than the Z1 Extreme makes the discounted configuration the stronger buy in Lenovo's own lineup.
