England to US holiday to adapt to World Cup time zones

- Thomas Tuchel advised England’s World Cup squad to spend a pre‑tournament holiday in the United States to help players acclimatise to the hotter climate and the six‑hour time difference they’ll face in North America.
- England will have 21 of its 26‑man squad arrive in Florida on Monday for a training camp and warm‑up matches against New Zealand on June 6 and Costa Rica on June 10 in West Palm Beach.
- Kansas City, Missouri is England’s tournament training base, six hours behind UK time and in the same time zone as Dallas, where England opens the World Cup against Croatia on June 17.
- Arsenal players Declan Rice, Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka, plus Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson, will join the squad later after their European finals.
- Premier League players Alex Scott, Jason Steele, Rio Ngumoha, Josh King and Ethan Nwaneri will also travel to the Florida camp.
