- A tanker caught fire near the Strait of Hormuz after two cargo ships were sunk in attacks, per Euronews
- Cross-coverage diverges: CNN's headline attributes the attacks to Iran, while CNBC reports a Singapore-flagged ship was sunk yet other vessels continue transiting the strait
Why it matters: Two ships were sunk and a tanker is ablaze, yet CNBC's headline shows other vessels continue transiting the Strait of Hormuz — operators currently judge the route passable despite the attacks, a fragile equilibrium that any further sinking would test.
