Lil Wayne, Karol G, Smashing Pumpkins to Receive Stars on Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2027

- The Hollywood Walk of Fame will add 32 stars along Hollywood Boulevard in 2027 across music, television, movies, theater, and radio, the Selection Committee announced.
- Lil Wayne, Karol G, Smashing Pumpkins, and David Guetta lead the Recording category, joined by Linkin Park, Sia, the Ramones, Grandmaster Flash, and Marc Shaiman, with outlaw country legend Waylon Jennings honored posthumously.
- The Motion Pictures category includes Cheech & Chong, Elle and Dakota Fanning, Kate Hudson, Idris Elba, Delroy Lindo, Sam Rockwell, and Netflix honcho Ted Sarandos.
- Pedro Pascal, Adam Scott, Lisa Kudrow, and Keke Palmer headline the Television category, while Charlamagne tha God receives a Radio star and Nicole Scherzinger is commemorated in Live Theatre/Live Performance.
- Walk of Fame Selection Chairman Peter Roth called the 32 honorees "extraordinary individuals" with lasting global impact through talent, creativity, and dedication to their craft.
Why it matters: The 32-honoree 2027 Walk of Fame class spans all five entertainment categories, notably placing Netflix honcho Ted Sarandos alongside actors Idris Elba and Kate Hudson in Motion Pictures. Outlaw country legend Waylon Jennings is also posthumously honored in the Recording category.
