- Untitled Entertainment acquired Emily Gerson Saines' Brookside Artist Management, which she founded in 1998, with Gerson Saines joining as a partner in Untitled's New York office.
- Brookside's full client roster transitions to Untitled, including Kieran Culkin, Macaulay Culkin, Daveed Diggs, David Krumholtz, Cynthia Nixon, Brenda Song, Sebastian Stan, Grace Van Patten, and Vanessa Williams.
- Brookside managers Laura Wilkinson and Tess Citron also move to Untitled as part of the deal, which had been in the works for several months and which Gerson Saines pursued after being approached by other interested firms.
- Gerson Saines began at CAA, served as a vice president at the William Morris Agency, and executive produced HBO's Temple Grandin — sharing its Outstanding Made for Television Movie Emmy and Peabody awards — plus HBO Max's Tokyo Vice and Starz's Blindspotting.
- The deal closes exactly two years after TPG acquired a majority stake in Untitled in June 2024 as the centerpiece of talent management-focused Initial Group, led by CEO Michel Pratte.
- Since the TPG investment, Initial Group has also acquired literary management firm Grandview (integrated into Untitled), Silver Tribe Media (now operating as Initial Digital), and made a strategic investment in Good World Management.
- Jason Weinberg, a founding partner of Untitled, called the move a "natural evolution" of his long-standing friendship with Gerson Saines, who he said was one of the first people to support him when he became a manager.
Why it matters: This is Initial Group's third tuck-in deal since TPG's June 2024 majority investment in Untitled, extending a roll-up that now pairs a top literary firm (Grandview) with a top talent firm (Brookside) under one corporate umbrella. For clients, it concentrates a roster spanning Emmy winners and major franchise stars under a single management platform while shrinking the pool of independent mid-sized agencies.
