- Flávio Bolsonaro fell to incumbent President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in Sunday's runoff, and The Hindu reports the defeated Trump-aligned candidate headed to the U.S. after the loss
Why it matters: Lula da Silva's Sunday runoff victory keeps the incumbent in Brazil's presidency over Trump-backed Flávio Bolsonaro.
