- ID premieres the first two of four parts of "Andrew Tate: Toxic Empire" on Nov. 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, with the remaining entries over the following two weeks and all of them available on HBO Max that same night.
- Andrew Tate says in the trailer, "I used sex as a tool to make women love me, so they'd obey me and live in my house and make people money" — a self-description the piece calls an accurate summation of his career.
- Andrew Tate: Toxic Empire traces his climb from middling professional kickboxer and British reality show contestant to de facto leader of the manosphere, and says the show aims to explain how he built that influence and why it took the public so long to catch on.
- Lauren Southern, a former right-wing influencer who has accused Tate of sexual assault — and whom Tate has accused of fabricating the allegations — appears in the trailer saying, "He had his claws in me, and I just couldn't escape."
- Matea Petrescu, who worked as Tate's publicist in Romania, appears alongside journalists, filmmakers, former insiders and men who participated in the War Room, his high-priced private network where he spoke directly with followers.
- Pimping Hoes Degree, the online "PhD" program in which Tate purported to teach men how to control women for profit, has its origins examined in a series promising never-before-heard testimonies from people close to Tate.
- Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were arrested in Romania in Dec. 2022 on sex-trafficking charges; both deny all allegations, face a slew of cases across the U.S., U.K. and Romania, and are held in federal detention in Florida awaiting extradition to the U.K., with their lawyer arguing the detention is unlawful.
Why it matters: The Nov. 25 debut puts Tate's "I used sex as a tool" quote beside testimony from Lauren Southern, who accused him of sexual assault, and Mateea Petrescu, his former publicist in Romania. Tate and Tristan remain in federal detention in Florida awaiting U.K. extradition, and the series promises never-before-heard testimony from people close to him.
