- SC Films International has closed international sales for the animated film 'Cloud Girl' to distributors across more than 20 territories, including the U.S., France, and Israel.
- Viva Pictures will release 'Cloud Girl' in U.S. cinemas on January 8, 2027, with Pan Distribution handling France and Pathé Films taking French-speaking Switzerland.
- The film is an adaptation of a 2015 novel and was an Official Selection of the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
- The voice cast features Faith Delaney, Hugh Laurie, Joseph Balderrama, Ken Nwosu, and Bhavnisha Parmar.
- Sales for the film will continue at the upcoming American Film Market.
Why it matters: The breadth of pre-sales across major and niche markets de-risks the film's production and signals strong commercial confidence from international buyers. For SC Films International, it establishes a successful sales pipeline ahead of the American Film Market.
