- Iestyn Morgan, a 21-year-old free diver from Pembrokeshire, can spend four to five hours at a time on the seabed, describing the experience as "otherworldly."
- Morgan said diving is "a great benefit for his mental health," crediting the sea with easing his wellbeing.
- Welsh waters are "under severe pressure," according to Morgan, who says he is trying to "give back" to the sea that brings him joy.
- Morgan said his goal is to keep showing people what lives in the ocean: "If I can keep showing people what's out there I'll be very happy to do that."
- The report was filmed and edited by Greg Davies.
Why it matters: Morgan, just 21, is positioning himself as a public advocate for Welsh marine ecosystems at a time when he says those waters are 'under severe pressure' — converting personal diving experiences into broader public awareness of what's at stake beneath the waves.
