- Yusuke Furusawa is a Japanese pro-Palestine activist protesting what Al Jazeera calls Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza.
- Furusawa protests every day in Tokyo and told Al Jazeera why he continues demonstrating.
Why it matters: By airing Furusawa’s account, Al Jazeera gives a Japanese activist who protests every day in Tokyo a platform to explain his opposition to Israel’s Gaza war, turning an individual street demonstration into a reported news feature and centering his own stated reasons.
