- Atlanta Hawks struck a streaming deal with Amazon's Prime Video to carry local game broadcasts to subscribers across a five-state region beginning in the 2026-2027 season
- Andrew Saltzman, the Hawks' president of business enterprise, confirmed the arrangement, with the team billing itself as the latest franchise to move local broadcasts to a streaming-first model
Why it matters: The agreement pulls local Hawks games onto Amazon's Prime Video starting in 2026-27, giving Prime subscribers in five states direct access to the team without a traditional regional sports network — a small but concrete data point in the ongoing migration of local sports rights from cable to streaming.
