- AGBO is partnering with SXSW London for what both sides call a "major" collaboration at the festival's second edition, with programming spanning film, television, gaming, and immersive experiences.
- Anthony and Joe Russo will attend alongside AGBO partner Donald Mustard, the former chief creative officer at Epic Games — a presence that signals the studio's gaming-and-tech ambitions.
- The Russos are in post-production on Avengers: Doomsday, set to release Dec. 18, with Avengers: Secret Wars already in pre-production alongside upcoming projects Tygo, Mercenary, and Extraction 3.
- AGBO's catalog includes Avengers: Endgame, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Extraction, The Gray Man, and the international Citadel franchise, with the Russos and the company credited with more than $7 billion in global box office.
- Angela Russo-Otstot, AGBO's chief creative officer, said the company was "founded on the belief that storytelling today is no longer confined to a single medium," framing the partnership around cross-discipline expansion.
- SXSW London, led by chief programming officer Katy Arnander, runs June 1-6 in Shoreditch, U.K., and is positioning AGBO's cross-platform ethos as a match for its own programming identity.
Why it matters: SXSW London is only in its second year, and securing AGBO — the studio behind Avengers: Endgame and the upcoming Dec. 18 release of Avengers: Doomsday — gives the fledgling festival a marquee partner with built-in Marvel audience reach. The presence of Donald Mustard, former CCO of Epic Games, hints AGBO is using the stage to present itself as a cross-medium studio, not just a film vendor, ahead of a packed release slate that already includes Secret Wars.
