- Apple TV+ ordered the series 'Guilty Creatures,' a thriller adapted from Mikita Brottman's acclaimed true-crime book 'Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida.'
- Julia Garner will star in and executive produce the series, which centers on a torrid romance and murder between two adulterous lovers in the Florida panhandle and their 18 years living as killers.
- Craig Gillespie ('I, Tonya,' 'Pam & Tommy') will direct and executive produce, while Stuart Zicherman ('The Shrink Next Door') serves as showrunner and executive producer.
- Sarah DeLappe ('Bodies Bodies Bodies') adapted the book for the screen, with Tomorrow Studios producing through first-look deals with Garner's Alma Margo and Gillespie's Fortunate Jack Productions.
- The series continues Garner's packed slate: she's in production on Amazon MGM's 'Tyrant' opposite Charlize Theron, and will appear in Apple TV's 'The Studio.'
Why it matters: The order deepens the Apple TV+-Julia Garner relationship, coming after her 'The Studio' appearance, and pairs her with Gillespie fresh off DC's 'Supergirl' — giving the streamer a prestige true-crime package with two Emmy-winning talents attached.
