- Trevor Lawrence heads the Week 8 Start 'Em calls in a Jaguars–Colts game the board lists as roughly a 10-point Jacksonville favorite with a 46.5-point total — the 'electric mode' matchup the column leads with.
- Colts traded guard Quenton Nelson to Seattle this week while already struggling on offense, having allowed 10 sacks and four turnovers over their previous two games against Tennessee and Minnesota.
- Jaguars defense is flagged as a big Week 8 play against Indianapolis, though the source notes Jacksonville itself managed only one sack and one turnover in its prior two games against Philadelphia and Houston.
- Ravens defense went without a turnover in each of its last two games against Cleveland and Cincinnati and had one sack against the Bengals in Week 7 while giving up 35 points; with Buffalo scoring at least 33 points in four of six games and Josh Allen sacked four times in three, the source calls it a rough Week 8 matchup for Baltimore's DST.
- Bye weeks hit four teams in Week 8 — Houston, New Orleans, the Giants and San Francisco — pulling star power off the board; the column then splits strategy by record, telling 4-3, 5-2, 6-1 and 7-0 managers to chase high-ceiling league-winners while 3-4, 2-5, 1-6 and 0-7 managers play win-now, adding that even a 0-7 start is not too late to reach the playoffs.

Why it matters: Indianapolis traded guard Quenton Nelson to Seattle after allowing 10 sacks and four turnovers in two games, handing the Jaguars DST the clearest Week 8 edge named in the column. Baltimore faces the opposite: Buffalo scored 33-plus in four of six games with Josh Allen sacked four times in three — a 'rough' Week 8 matchup for the Ravens DST.
