- Gerard Way told fans at the Alamodome in San Antonio that MCR hopes to record a new album, their first LP since 2010's Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, more than 16 years ago.
- MCR spent the past year touring to celebrate the 20th anniversary of 2006's The Black Parade, and Saturday's show marked the official end of the North American leg of that tour.
- Way credited fans with sustaining the band, telling the crowd: "you guys, honestly, kept us alive for so long that you guys deserve another record."
- MCR reunited in 2019 but has released only one new song since — 2022's "The Foundations of Decay" — which Way said was "really awesome when we kept doing it."
