- Ryan Gosling was officially cast as Ghost Rider for a May 2028 MCU film, announced at Marvel's Comic-Con panel Saturday to a live performance of Suicide's "Ghost Rider" punk classic as he took the Hall H stage.
- Shawn Levy will direct the Ghost Rider film, re-teaming with Gosling after their work on Star Wars: Starfighter — Levy called the actor "the absolute shit" from the stage and said, "Bro, let's ride."
- David Jonsson (The Long Walk, Alien: Romulus) was cast as T'Challa II in Black Panther 3, also arriving in 2028, taking over the role originated by the late Chadwick Boseman and picking up the character introduced as T'Challa and Nakia's son in 2022's Wakanda Forever.
- Kevin Feige made the casting official after years of fan lobbying, with Gosling telling the crowd, "As you know, this is a character I've wanted to play for a long time" — a casting Rolling Stone projected back in 2013.
- Marvel also unveiled a Comic-Con-exclusive trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, with Robert Downey Jr. and stars from Fox's original X-Men film series joining the cast on stage; the trailer has not yet been posted online.
- Ghost Rider was previously portrayed by Nicolas Cage in two early-2000s pre-MCU films and by Gabriel Luna as an alternate version (Robbie Reyes) on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
