- Prime Video dropped the Season 3 trailer for "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" on Wednesday, with the series set to premiere on the streamer on Nov. 11
- Sauron's army — including orcs, dragons, balrogs, and ringwraiths — is shown wreaking havoc across Middle-Earth in the new footage
- The heroes are depicted fighting back against the onslaught, framing the season as a large-scale war for the fate of Middle-Earth
- Amazon's flagship fantasy series is escalating its scale in Season 3, featuring multiple iconic Tolkien creatures previously teased across earlier seasons
Why it matters: Season 3 marks a tonal and visual escalation for Amazon's most expensive series, packing in creatures — balrogs, dragons, ringwraiths — that Tolkien fans have long awaited on screen. The Nov. 11 premiere date signals Amazon's continued commitment to the franchise despite its polarizing reception, with the show now leaning fully into large-scale spectacle.
