- Hobart/Lawrence Police Department released records Friday night showing that three other women gave police separate accounts alleging abuse by Jacobs in 2021 and 2022.
- Josh Jacobs pleaded no contest Sept. 10 to misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property; his lawyers said only those two charges were warranted and called the new accounts uncorroborated, old and previously unreported.
- NFL said Saturday it will review the three allegations as part of its still-open investigation into the May incident; Jacobs was placed on the commissioner’s exempt list in August, missed the Packers’ first six games and has since played two.
- The first woman said that during a visit lasting about 11 hours on Jan. 5, 2022, after about six months of communication, Jacobs slapped her, threw her phone into a swimming pool, pulled her by the hair, pinned her onto a bed and threatened to kill her.
- A second woman said a condom broke during sex in April 2021, then Jacobs pushed her against a wall and threw out her belongings; she reported bruises and rib swelling, while police records said officers observed no visible injury, bruising or damage.
- A third woman alleged that when Jacobs flew her to a residence in May 2022, he grabbed her hair, dragged her, scratched her chest and neck and took her phone, leaving bruises and scratches; she did not report it then because she was not a U.S. citizen and said Jacobs told her she could be deported.
- The May 23 complaint alleged that Jacobs threw a woman to the ground, causing her to hit her head, took her phone and later pinned her under his body weight with a hand over her mouth and nose; she said she could not breathe and believed she briefly lost consciousness.
Why it matters: The NFL’s still-open investigation now has three women’s accounts to review alongside the May complaint, while police records also document no visible injury in the April 2021 allegation. That review follows Jacobs’ August exempt-list placement, which kept him out of the Packers’ first six games before his return for two.
