- MyMonthlyCar was co-founded by Igor Dobrianskyi, Kostiantyn Gitko, and Vadym Zotov — all from Ukraine — and is registered in Delaware and based in Florida, with seven dealerships already testing the service.
- The platform charges dealerships 10% of each transaction plus a separate 10% customer fee, and also offers a rent-to-own option that could convert renters into buyers.
- Dobrianskyi previously ran a car rental company in Ukraine and in 2016 launched SizeCar, a peer-to-peer car marketplace that expanded to 40 European cities before his move to the U.S.
- MyMonthlyCar was selected for the 2026 Startup Battlefield 200, earning a booth at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco from October 13–15.
- The startup is currently bootstrapped but plans to raise a seed round to build an AI tool that helps dealers identify which used cars to rent out at any given time.
- The founders project 100 dealerships, 2,000 monthly rentals, and $300,000 in revenue in year one (starting after the insurance program launches), scaling to $42 million over five years.
- Insurance is the gating item: the team is working with a broker on a proprietary program because, per Dobrianskyi, "Insurance is the key for this business, and you need to have your own insurance as a platform."
Why it matters: There are roughly 76,000 U.S. dealerships sitting on depreciating used-car inventory, and MyMonthlyCar is betting dealerships will trade 10% of transaction revenue to fill that gap with month-to-month renters — a model whose success hinges entirely on the proprietary insurance program the team hasn't launched yet.
