- Storm Boelo followed Storm Austen over the weekend, and hundreds of homes across Wales were left without power on Sunday morning after flooding and felled trees.
- Capel Curig recorded an 84mph (135km/h) wind gust on Saturday alongside 2.1in (54.6mm) of rain, while Bute Park in Cardiff logged 2.2in (55.2mm) over the same day.
- SP Energy was working through 16 power incidents in north and mid Wales, including five on Anglesey, as National Grid handled outages in south and west Wales, where more than 150 homes in Ceredigion lost power.
- Transport for Wales ran buses instead of a number of train services, with the line blocked between Cardiff Central and Bridgend and flooding on the railway between Bridgend and Maesteg.
- Irish Ferries cancelled two Holyhead–Dublin sailings and said afternoon services might leave early, after Stenaline cancelled the 10:00 crossing; the Pembroke–Rosslare ferry was also cancelled, with later sailings due to continue.
- Natural Resources Wales had four flood warnings for the River Ely at 09:20, with one warning in place at Ely Bridge in Cardiff on Sunday afternoon alongside 14 flood alerts, and said river levels were expected to fall; Cowbridge Road in Ely reopened at 12:00.
- Haven Sports Surf Shop posted video of seals sheltering under parked cars along the Broad Haven seafront in Pembrokeshire and warned residents about washed-up seals.
Why it matters: For households and rail passengers the cost is concrete: more than 150 Ceredigion homes lost power, and TfW swapped trains for buses on two blocked Welsh lines. Yet most of Wales had no weather warning during Boelo, and NRW said river levels would fall, pointing to disruption concentrated in specific areas rather than nationwide.
