- Heather Tom is in line to win her seventh Daytime Emmy this Friday at the 53rd annual Daytime Emmys.
- Heather Tom would reach the most wins by an actress in daytime history with that seventh win, the outright record the story frames her as chasing.
- Erika (surname not given in the excerpt) is the actress Tom is tied with in the daytime wins record, meaning the mark is shared rather than held outright before Friday.
- The Bold and the Beautiful is the daytime series Tom stars in, and the story builds her seventh Emmy bid around the record she is in line to set.
Why it matters: Heather Tom shares the most-wins-by-an-actress record with Erika (surname truncated in the excerpt) and stands one win from taking it outright. A seventh Emmy on Friday at the 53rd annual Daytime Emmys would end the tie and put Tom alone at the top of daytime acting's wins list.
