- Nick Babiarz is returning to Ginsberg/Libby as Vice President, Awards, beginning in mid-May, the firm announced exclusively.
- Ginsberg/Libby is bringing Babiarz back shortly after partner Lee Ginsberg announced he is leaving to launch his own independent awards-consulting business.
- Babiarz will lead an awards team that includes Olivia Delgado and Brian Woods, joining a leadership group of Clay Dollarhide, Julie Siegel, Seanna Hore, Robin Finn, and Delgado.
- Paramount Pictures had employed Babiarz as Vice President of Awards, where he ran campaigns for Derek Cianfrance's Roofman and the Oscar-nominated films Gladiator 2, Better Man, and September 5.
- Apple TV+ previously employed Babiarz as an Awards Lead, where he worked on Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon, which earned 10 Oscar nominations, as well as nominees The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and the Horse and Causeway.
- Babiarz began his career at the Chicago office of Allied and later held roles at The Weinstein Company, LTLA, and his prior stint at Ginsberg/Libby.
Why it matters: Ginsberg/Libby is replacing a departing founding-name partner with a veteran who just shepherded three Oscar-nominated campaigns at Paramount and a 10-nomination Scorsese film at Apple TV+. The hire signals the firm is doubling down on prestige-film awards strategy at a moment when a senior partner is setting up a competing independent consultancy.
