2027 Chevy Equinox EV Finally Gets a Bose Sound System

- GM will offer a Bose premium sound system on the 2027 Chevy Equinox EV as part of the Active Safety Package 3, which currently costs $3,355 and is available only on LT2 and RS trims.
- The Bose upgrade is expected to raise the Active Safety Package 3 price by $600 to $3,955, according to GMAuthority.
- The 2027 Equinox EV is also expected to be GM's first model year with a built-in NACS port for native Tesla Supercharger access; current owners can buy an NACS DC Adapter from GM for $275.
- The Equinox EV ranked third among US EVs last year behind the Tesla Model Y and Model 3, and slipped to fifth in Q1 2026 behind the Hyundai IONIQ 5, Toyota bZ, Tesla Model 3, and Model Y.
- The 2026 Equinox EV LT FWD starts at $34,995 ($36,495 with destination) with up to 319 miles of range, while the new 2027 Bolt starts at $28,595 with 262 miles of range.
