- SportsLine's model simulated the 2026 NFL season 10,000 times and identified Giants WR Malik Nabers as a bust, ranking him outside its top 15 receivers despite an ADP around pick No. 35; Nabers tore his ACL last season and underwent a follow-up procedure this spring, and new OC Matt Nagy is expected to lean on the run game.
- Bills RB James Cook is going off draft boards around No. 13 overall as the fifth RB taken on average, but the model ranks him only RB No. 10 (behind Derrick Henry and Chase Brown), citing an elevated 2025 fumble rate, limited pass-game role, and QB Josh Allen as a touchdown vulture.
- The model is also fading one of the first five receivers off early 2026 draft boards — a player it ranks barely inside the top 10 — though his identity is gated behind a SportsLine subscription.
- The model's track record includes calling Terry McLaurin's 2025 collapse (582 receiving yards, 3 TDs after a 1,100-yard, 13-TD season), plus past hits on A.J. - Top 2026 fantasy ADP (PPR, via CBS) is led by Jahmyr Gibbs (1.53), Bijan Robinson (1.93), Ja'Marr Chase (3.53), Puka Nacua (4.07) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (5.27).
Why it matters: For drafters paying for premium tools, SportsLine's three named busts represent real draft-board detours — especially Cook, who consensus has in the top 13 picks but the model drops to Round 3. The mystery WR flagged inside the top 10 is the piece with the largest potential ADP gap, and the model's prior McLaurin call gives the bust list credibility heading into Sept. 9 kickoff.
