- Aeroband's PocketDrum 2 Ultra includes two motion-sensing drumsticks at 58 grams each, translating gestures into virtual sound with a 127-level dynamic response and 8,000 Hz gyroscope sampling.
- The device runs up to eight hours on a single charge and packs 12 sound kits plus more than 100 grooves spanning rock, EDM, pop, and singing bowl tones.
- Beginner-friendly features include Auto Groove for building timing and beat sense, with no prior musical experience required to start playing.
- Headphone connectivity allows silent jamming, while the device also supports MIDI creation for users who want to capture and edit rhythms.
- The companion app upgrades over the previous generation, letting users check Bluetooth and battery status, swap between Manual and Auto modes, customize drum sounds, and record performances for social sharing.
- Aeroband priced the PocketDrum 2 Ultra at $189, with a $40 early-bird coupon running Oct. 20–Oct. 31 that drops the effective price to $149.
Why it matters: The Oct. 20–31 early-bird window effectively cuts the price from $189 to $149 for holiday shoppers, positioning the device as a gifting-season entry point for beginners and casual players rather than just a niche drum-tech upgrade.
