- BYD surpassed Tesla, Kia, and Volkswagen to become the UK's top-selling EV brand in 2026, registering 12,754 EVs through April and capturing over 7% market share.
- BYD posted a record 135,098 NEV exports in April, up 70% year-over-year, while total NEV sales (domestic plus export) fell 26% — marking its eighth consecutive month of year-over-year declines.
- BYD sold 456,263 vehicles overseas in the first four months of 2026 and is now the best-selling EV brand in both Australia and the UK, according to SMMT registration data.
