- Bitcoin recovered from an Asian session low of $63,065 to trade around $63,500, though prices remain down 0.3% since midnight UTC and nearly 3% over the past 24 hours, per CoinDesk data
- Nasdaq e-mini futures slipped to 27,930 points — the lowest since May — and are down 1.2% for the week after peaking near 31,000 in June
- NVDA, the Nasdaq heavyweight, fell by nearly 5% on Monday, adding pressure to the index
- South Korea's Kospi index tanked by 10% in the session, a far sharper decline than other regional markets
- Japan's Nikkei posted a relatively more measured decline alongside the broader regional selloff
Why it matters: Risk-off contagion is hitting every major asset class simultaneously: NVDA fell nearly 5%, Nasdaq futures hit a three-month low, and South Korea's Kospi tanked 10% — and Bitcoin's bounce to $63,500 left it still down nearly 3% on the day. Crypto is offering no haven from this equity rout.
