- 1Password launched a new Claude integration for Mac, designed to let Anthropic's AI agent sign in to websites without seeing the user's password or 2FA code.
- The integration keeps both passwords and two-factor authentication codes hidden from Claude, with 1Password handling the credentials so the AI agent never directly accesses them.
Why it matters: The integration lets Claude sign in to web services on a user's behalf while 1Password — not the AI — handles the password and 2FA code, keeping credentials out of the model's reach. For 1Password, the launch extends its role from human password management to authenticating AI agents on Mac.
