Lulu's Lounge reopens in Chinatown shophouse

- Lulu's Lounge has reopened at 208 South Bridge Road inside a heritage shophouse at Terra Southbridge Hotel in Singapore's Chinatown, replacing its original 2017 Pan Pacific Singapore venue.
- Threaded Creatives and Bernard Johnson designed the 1930s Shanghai-inspired interiors — jade hues, lacquered and mirrored surfaces, plush velvet booths — and also designed the original Lulu's.
- Bobby Carey and Tom Hogan of Studio Ryecroft built the cocktail program around Chinese ingredients including Buddha's hand, long pepper, salted lemon and dark soy syrup, highlighted by a Jasmine Tea Martini and an Osmanthus and Baijiu Sour, with a parallel non-alcoholic menu.
- The food menu offers Shanghai-inspired dim sum and small plates such as Oscietra Caviar Siu Mai with yuzu crème fraîche, Hong Kong Prawn Toast, air-dried-for-24-hours Crispy-Skin Chicken and Mala Grilled Fish Skewers.
- Longtime Zouk DJs Jeremy Boon and Aldrin spin on Wednesdays and Fridays, while a jazz trio anchors the main room on a baby grand and themed nights — Oui Oui Cherie (Thursday), Cafe Bizarre (Saturday) and Encore (Sunday) — fill out the week.
- Live programming runs with no cover charge except for special events, and the venue is open Wednesday through Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday.
Why it matters: The reopening relocates a defining Singapore nightlife fixture since 2017 into Chinatown's Terra Southbridge Hotel, pairing its cabaret and DJ programming with a Studio Ryecroft cocktail program from Bobby Carey and Tom Hogan, who previously built menus at Manhattan and ATLAS. For nightlife-hungry patrons, it consolidates late-night dim sum, live jazz and themed drag performances under one roof with no cover most nights.
