- Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days 2026 runs Oct. 6-7 as a 48-hour sale with "Today's Big Deals" dropped three times daily across 35+ categories including toys, electronics, fashion, beauty and home
- Lego Icons "Project Hail Mary" set is discounted 30% to $69.99 from $99.99 — its first major Amazon markdown since its release earlier this year — and includes Ryland Grace and Rocky figures plus a working centrifugal-gravity crank
- Lego Thestral Family set (Harry Potter) is 40% off at $41.99 from $69.99, marking Lego's first brick-built versions of the skeletal winged creatures, with poseable adult and baby figures and fabric wings
- Hogwarts Castle and Grounds 2,660-piece display set is marked down to ~$136.99 from $169.99, recreating the Great Hall, Astronomy Tower, courtyards, greenhouses, Boathouse and Black Lake
- Lego 25th Anniversary Millennium Falcon (921 pieces) is $67.99 from $84.99; the 1,050-piece R2-D2 set is $79.99 from $99.99 and includes an exclusive Darth Malak minifigure tied to Lego's Star Wars 25th anniversary
- The Project Hail Mary film has grossed $680 million worldwide since its March release and is now streaming on Prime Video, giving Amazon a built-in cross-promo for the discounted set
- Prime membership ($14.99/month or $139/year) is required, though eligible new members can sign up for a free 30-day trial to shop the sale
Why it matters: Beyond the price cuts, the sale includes firsts that won't repeat: Lego's first-ever brick-built Thestrals and the first major Amazon markdown on the Project Hail Mary set since its 2025 release. The Prime membership gate ($14.99/month or $139/year) effectively makes these discounts a 48-hour Oct. 6-7 window for paying members, with a free trial as the only non-paying entry point.
